In the '70s he was deeply involved in hot rolling technology as: 1) Design Engineer in the Technical Dept, 2) Shift Foreman at the Strip Mill, 3) Operations Supervisor in the Bar Mill and 4) Computer Analyst and Programmer in the Roll Pass Design Dept. In the '80s and '90s he has been involved and kept pace with the development of personal computing technology and its application to professional engineering, from the ZX80 to the Pentium-based PCs. A graduate Mechanical Engineer of the Politecnico di Milano, he was renowned in academic and industrial community for unique results obtained with mathematical models he had devised and numerous technical articles he had published. He first published an article in English in 1972, on the Iron and Steel Engineer, when he was an AISE (Association of Iron and Steel Engineers) member. He was then an AIST (Association for Iron & Steel Technology) member for many years. Annibale Izzo passed away in 2006 - this website maintains his work and studies with the help of his family and colleagues.
